Daddy turns 35

Another birthday came and gone as David turned 35 this year. David wanted a quiet celebration at home to enjoy his day off from work and just spend time with Truman and I. We started the morning with Hallah french toast (David's favorite & thank you Real Simple mag for your easy, oven baked recipe) and ended the evening having dinner in the dining room followed by a lovely flourless chocolate cake for desert (another one of David's favorites).

Here is my little baker helping me sprinkle confectioners sugar on the cake:

And finally, la pièce de résistance:

Everyday is so precious and life makes no guarantees of how long you have so celebrate each birthday no matter how little or large, make your wishes and blow your candles out.

Happy Birthday to my husband who's already made all my wishes come true.
