I love anything that's custom-made or personalized. It always feels special in a "had you in mind" kind of way. For Bianca's bridal shower I made some personalized cork coasters in place of traditional place cards. This was an easy DIY project which only took a little over an hour.
Ikea sells a 4/pack of cork coasters for $1.00! And I borrowed a heart stencil from a teacher at Portia's preschool. I know, I know. How does a mother of 3 not have a heart stencil or cookie cutter??
White crayons do come in handy:
I found paint in the garage from when we painted our house. Open windows and wear a mask. Toxic!
Dry...and start making cookies. WHAT??!!
The Sharpie paint pen is awesome!
SEE...cookies!! I was also bringing Mexican wedding cookies to the bridal shower:
Coasters was not a difficult craft to take on but multi-tasking along side confectioners sugar was!
