I'm not crafty. I don't sew. I don't scrapbook. But I do headbands (lately).
It all started when I couldn't find the right hair accessories for Portia. You wouldn't know this by her timid-slow-to-warm first impression but my girl is ACTUALLY colorful, silly, witty, playful, and mesmerizing. So, a taffeta bow or tulle flower on her head doesn't fully embody who this part wrestler/part shoe model is.
It was scary but I dusted off my glue gun, bought some ribbon, and a few edible surprises.
If Portia is in the mood for Japanese, she can choose from curry with rice or ramen noodles:
Perhaps she might want a combination plate of shrimp tempura and sushi:
She's always craving (o.k., me too!) a hamburger or hot dog:
And if she's really feeling fancy she can indulge in a lobster dinner:
Because I've graduated from Intro to Headbands, I'm moving up to Barrettes and Clips 101. What do you think about an egg roll with dipping sauce clip or a Belgium waffle barrette? Stay tuned...
