diy mini starbucks hat

DIY mini starbucks hat

After years of seeing creative moms craft on Crazy Hat Day, I feel proud to stand beside them in honor of Portia's last year of preschool.  I wasn't going to make the same excuse again that "I didn't have/make time".  Her mini Starbucks hat was really easy to make and if I can pull it off during our morning rush of making lunches, toasting bread, and packing backpacks anyone can!

Portia calls her drink "Mochaccino Frappiccino"!

Here's your 5-ingredient recipe (bathroom cup, label, sponge (foam), Starbucks straw, and Starbucks napkin).  I found a free Starbucks printable on Toni Ellison's blog when she made lip balm (cute!). The size was just wide enough for my cup.

Now get your hole on (and cut straw to your liking):

Next, create ponytail. Slide ponytail through napkin then cup.  I coiled her hair inside.  Then topped off with foam, meaning glued the sponge right on!

TADA!! Your very own mommy and me coffee cups...drink up!

Warning: Hat may disassemble after 4 hours of preschool fun.
