Preschool, end of an era

moms day at preschool

Week-to-week weather changes and seasonal swings have me asking are we in winter, spring, or summer? Well, the earth's changing position tells me that spring is ending soon and summer should be upon us.

The preschool chapter of our story book is coming to an end as well.  We won't have to pay tuition anymore (hallelujah!) but I'm going to miss the teachers and all of the special annual events like the Spring Fling and Mom's/Grandma's day.

This was my fourth (and last) year attending Mom's/Grandma's day:

Trying to capture childhood so I can revisit it over and over on my blog gets challenging when the everyday stuff just gets in the way.

It turns out the everyday stuff are the everyday moments to relish in:

Because soon you'll forget the little things you notice now like how their lips purse together when they're really focused on something:

Or when they're struggling, how their lips pouf and flatten:

That "O" mouth they make wants you to tell them to close their mouth but you know better than to interrupt them when they're utilizing their motor skills:

They'll grow up, outgrow lip exercises and their preschool era will be an essential blur.

I anticipate the chapters ahead to be filled with more comedy, drama, adventure...and romance (yikes)?? And hopefully, I'll be there to document it all.
