On Friday, we officially hung up our backpacks. Retired our sticky, lunch boxes. And burned Truman's middle school uniforms (the thought did cross my mind).
We all came down with summer fever during Memorial day weekend and have been counting down till kids summer daydreams of no homework and mom's napping on the job becomes a reality.
After bringing down the house...

And one last curtain call...

It was finally time to breath easy.
Unwind.

Celebrate with old friends.

Make new friends.

And write neighbor notes to send.

Summer is about giving in to vending machine temptation.

Revisting old-fashioned fun.

Swinging on trees.

And breakfast Hawaiian buns.

Also escaping under the sun!

Summer makes me shush-free.
Double dipping gets a free pass.
Pizza becomes my way of life (and I don't feel guilty).

Dishes wait.

We'll wake up late.

To that end, I wish my mom friends the best of luck in the next two months.

Pool hiatus resumes if you need some time off!
