Hello 2021, it's so nice to finally see you.

We put away the past to make room for all that you have to offer:

Good fortune and amazing health.

Perhaps the secret to the fountain of youth will finally be revealed?

I do miss the smell of a forest with its' sharp and sweet scent of pine of 2020.

And I'm o.k. not stepping into a shopping center.

However, I can't wait to sip hot green tea at a sushi bar, tightly hug my friends, and devour at an all-inclusive hotel buffet, just to name a few.

Looking forward to see patio tables replace outdoor benches.

Because I like my food propped up.

The boys are more adaptable.

They've had Wetzel Pretzel twice in three weeks. Life needs fresh, baked bread. It's a fact.

David bought Presley a new bike for Christmas.

And me too!

And...I bought a new accessory to go with it.

My bike basket caters for five so we've been making necessary stops along the way.

Warm days are keeping us outdoors.

Rainy days keep us indoors.

Portia has fallen in love with embroidery floss.

It's her way of being distracted while we stay at home.

People say she's my twin. But I'm more her twin.

I bought her a 3-tier rolling cart for Christmas to help her organize all her crafts and art supplies. Thanks boys for assembling it together!

Seeing cousins have been in our rotation.

The Monopoly saga continues over tantalizing meals.

I found my thank you notes from Presley's 2020 class when I contributed money to their recorder fund. I miss all those kids in Room 9 and often wonder how they're doing in middle school.

I hope soon I can pin up artwork in the classroom again, chaperone field trips, and volunteer for school fundraising events that I'll complain to David on why, oh why did I volunteer to pin up artwork in the classroom again, chaperone field trips, and volunteer for school fundraising events.

Stay safe and have a wonderful day - Portia Hui
