We moved Truman into his dorm 17 days ago.

It was only 2 months ago that he turned 18.

And now he's living his BEST adult life in a shoebox with two other roommates with good hair.

It started by gathering all his college dorm room essentials.

Stuffing them into the car.

And heading toward the beach.

I felt anxious, excited, and somber all at the same time.

The rolling bin made it official that there was no turning back.

This was his home now, and a start toward independence!

Having to say goodbye was one of the hardest things I've had to do as a parent, to have to leave your child behind to start a new chapter without you right beside them.

Three days later he sent us his first day of school pic in his cell block.

I also get gym pics.

Food pics.

Like crinkle fries Wednesdays.

And steak fries Fridays. I don't think he misses my cooking.

Looks like laundry is on Sundays.

Truman will be coming home at the end of the month for just a quick weekend visit. I know Presley will be soooo happy to have his brother back.

And I'll be emotional to see the Mod Squad back together again.

Hurry home Truman, we're all waiting for you...
