She's a beauty and she just turned eight. Portia's my mini me, that's what people say. But she's so much more than I ever was at eight years old, confident, passionate, and so, so smart.

Portia made some requests for how she wanted to celebrate her birthday. All so simple yet thoughtful and special.
She picked up the a.m. slot at school.

This is the first time in classroom history not one kid had a donut allergy.

If there was a full-time job for passing out donuts, I'd be really good at it.

She spent the whole day with her best friend Sunny.

She loves to have one-on-one time with her friends.

Color Me Mine cuties.

They celebrated over ceramics.

And cupcakes.

Sunny has two older, devious brothers too. So their empathetic to each other's home life.

We had lunch at Pokeland.

Poke is Portia's favorite, next to ramen.

Next stop, Dojo Boom.

I'm thinking about signing her up for aerial silks class.

I said yes to two scoops.

I mean, it's her birthday!

Making a run for it!

Because red velvet cake.

It's still her number one flavor.

She ordered up lasagna for dinner. And requested eggplant in it. The boys weren't too happy about that.

But they ate it anyway with minimal complaints.

Despite their teasing and taunting (can you spot the other pair of eyes?)...

Her brothers truly cherish her.

Happy Birthday Portia! You are a gift and a constant reminder why my life is soooo major!!
