Back from a warm coastal Mexican getaway, we were not prepared for the frosty season that mother nature had intended.
But...we were merrier than ever.

'Tis the season for love and good will!

Presents were wrapped.

Cards were stuffed and sealed.

Gift tags were signed.

I was turbo-charged for the beautiful chaos called "the holidays".

Steak and salmon on the menu!

I only took one picture the whole night, my cheese and charcuterie spread...because apps are the most important meal.

I lied, I did capture this moment with Uncle David and Dilly Willy.

Christmas is always a marvelous time.

It's the season of performances.

Portia joined the San Fernando Valley Youth Choir this year.

My sis-n-law flew in for the winter (not sure how she survives my kids year after year).

She still loves to shop.

And eat 😋!

And take the kids money.

Seeing Los Angeles from a tourist's eye.

We love sitting down for high tea together.

The Rose Tea Garden has a yummy peaches n'cream tea for kids.

The holidays bring unexpected affection.

Bright, red lacquered toes.

Michael's 14th birthday.

And handmade snow globes.

David got some poo-pourri this year.

I treated myself to new socks, like a bunch.

And the kids got everything they wanted. Almost everything.

We walked the Enchanted: Forest of Lights at Descanso Gardens on New Year's Eve.

It was lit.

Star light, star bright.

Everything was luminous!

We ate at their restaurant, Maple for the first time.

$12 kids burger! Ehhh, we probably won't be back.

Then, rang in the new year with Rocky, the heart breaker.

Clipper Nation on the first night of 2019.

My sister was right. The food is sooooo good at Staples Center.

She says she only comes for the food.

It's been an all-you-can-eat, around-the-clock celebration.

Shrimp heads included.

From late night pie.

To midnight noodles.

Oysters by the fireplace.

Dim sum and then some.

Wishing you a happy 2019 from our family to yours 😘!
