Stress-free kids.

Worry-free Dad.

Just a few things on my list necessary for a relaxing family retreat!

We went down to Carlsbad to ring in the New Year.

I love quaint, coastal communities where I can unwind and reset.

Charming shops and locally owned restaurants give Carlsbad Village a laid-back, small town feel that I crave.

I love being able to walk into town, grab a cup of morning joe.

Then decide if I'm going to spend the rest of the afternoon pedaling the boardwalk.

Staying in the village is just steps away from their downtown food scene.

One night we tried the local Mexican favorite.

Another night, the catch of the day.

They have everything from fine dining, NY style pizza...

To killer breakfast burritos.
And...the crispiest hash browns I've had the pleasure of crunching into.

The boys utilized the gym at the resort.

Mainly working on their biceps and triceps.

My new year weight loss plan starts in 2025.

Salt water is the cure for everything: longevity, happiness and...

Homegrown oysters!

We took a tour at the Carlsbad Aquafarm, the only oyster farm in SoCal.

We ate and shucked our own farm fresh oysters while overlooking a calming lagoon.

The touch tanks were a bonus!

A little sand between your toes always takes away your woes. Wouldn't you agree? Here's to more salty kisses and seashell wishes in 2024!
