Happy 2025 from Hong Kong's Victoria Harbor!
After five years, we flew over the Pacific Ocean again to spend six days with David's family and to witness my brother-n-law say, "I Do" to his soul mate.

Here's what 2 days of marriage looks like.

(And here's what 2 decades of marriage looks like).

I walked the roads of Hong Kong like a pro, grubbed on my local favorites, and remembered to take lots of family pictures.

Let me tell you more. I talk fast.
6:30 a.m. call time, LAX ➡ HKG!

Our flight was delayed 1 1/2 hours.

But, behold, for we finally arrived in The People's Republic of China after 15 hours.

All-you-can-drink Vitasoy time!

Reunited and it feels so so good.

The Don Don Donki crew knows how to get the reunion started.

Life is short, Eat all the Dumplings. Yes!

We stayed in Kowloon again. David likes to be in Tsim Sha Tsui.

A vibrant district that never sleeps.

Conveniently located near subway stations and bus stops.

(The ferry is my favorite mode of transportation even though the subway gets all the attention).

The city is steep and dense.

Encompassed by artistic ruin.

Our hotel put us in the heart of boutiques and multi-level cafes.

Towering malls for endless shopping.

Nearby claw machine arcades excited the kids immensely.

Things I can count on in H.K.:
1) The mainstay meal of dim sum.

2) Sitting shoulder to shoulder with locals at a cha chaan teng sipping lai cha.

3) Rare Pokémon finds. And...

4) Desserteries that open till midnight.

I had the same grass jelly dessert two nights in a row. Just around the corner from our hotel!

Less than 15 hours from touching down in H.K., we arrived at the most anticipated wedding of the year.

We cleaned up for Mother Nature.

And put our best face forward.

Sister-n-laws rule.

Katie's blushing bride transformation.

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hui and family!

Hopeless RAMENTICS.

Sibling love.

East coast/West coast cousins.

Handsome lads.

Endless joy.

At last! Cake!

Post-wedding family dinner hosted by cousin Jennifer.

The view was spectacular.

A modern, multi-generational, Chinese family portrait.

We made time for the Cup Noodle Museum!

And a Carnival in Central, H.K. Island.

Night full of neon lit rides and carnival games.

Close to a dozen plushies came home with us including a lobster I won myself.

Hui fam don't quit...

Cause, "Me Want Cookie"!

On New Years Eve, Tsim Sha Tsui closed off the streets to cars/buses making it pedestrian-friendly.

It's as if we were in a Chinese Lives Matter rally.

Hong Kong fireworks above the Victoria Harbor skyline is impossible to describe. Speechless.

Last visit with Mama.

Goodbye until we see each other again.

Where to next? We're off to Tokyo!!! To be continued...
