Happy Spring!
OMG! I took a lot of pictures during our staycation!! Warning: kid overload.
Living deep, deep in the valley (far away from the ocean) gives me MOUNTAIN FEVER people!
So naturally, we spent the first day of spring break at Santa Monica beach!
Too cold to swim but warm enough to play by the ocean.
Once in a while, beyond the valley's backyard obstructions you can catch a beautiful sunset.
Tried neon Cheetos mix.
Easy quesadillas fix.
Paper plates mean no dishes.
Taking naps mean no alarm clocks.
Lazy afternoons.
And restful hiding spots.
The kids and I know how to de-stress well.

My sis-n-law Karen came to stay with us. She always brings me overseas goodies. But seriously, what's better...this Hello Kitty casserole or this filter that makes my skin flawless and glowy?

The hazelnut truffle churro waffle ice cream sandwich wins for the ultimate childhood delicacy. There's something irresistible about hot/cold unions that go hand n' hand - i.e. ice cream sundaes w/hot fudge, hot apple pie a la mode, brownie a la mode...mmm...mmm...mmm.
