Homebound - reached week 5 of COVID-19

We are still stuck at home.  Although the pace of things have slowed down, the weeks are flying by.

It's been a week of binge eating and homeschooling.

We spent the first week of winter vacation at, now, one of our favorite Mexican beach resort cities, Puerto Vallarta.  The kids discovered the term all-inclusive and how it could solve all of life's problems.  Five days was certainly not enough time to devise a plan on how to convince David we should stay for five more days.  We captured this one last family photo before leaving paradise...rested, relaxed, and minutes away from wanting to miss our flight home.

But let's take a look at how we got here...

Kids most dreaded day of the year came.  And the first day of school didn't go as expected.

I said goodbye to carefree temperaments and cheery dispositions.  And hello to moody kids and science projects.

We traveled 10,000 miles for "thee" family event of the season.  In just eight days, the Hui/Chan/Alex families became immersed in a world of dim sum parties, spectacular expeditions, and mile high dinners.  But before navigating the world of H.K. milk tea, let's gather our possessions for the grandest sabbatical of all.
