Halloween on a Saturday, full moon, and daylight saving time ending. What an ideal weekend if only we weren't living in a time of COVID-19. But in the Hui home it was business as usual: carving, candy, and chilling decorations.

Our warm and sunny, 80 degree weather this week took our carving sesh outside. I really love living in California.

Halloween is an excuse to put more black in the house.

We invited family over for dinner and trick-or-treating.

The neighborhood was quiet.

So we appreciated our neighbors that went all out to give the kids a sense of normalcy.

We used Halloween as an opportunity to celebrate David's birthday! All the attention makes him uncomfortable. And I love watching him be uncomfortable.

I'm so grateful for another year of spooktacular fun, being surrounded by family...

And celebrating an extra hour of sleep. Hope you set your clocks back!
