A pandemic Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving at my sister's which included my dad, my brother's family and my sis-n-law's mom.  We've been each other's social pod during the pandemic still gathering for birthdays and even continued Halloween's tradition of dressing up, trick-or-treating and handing out candy.  Being with them helps ease my anxiety and overall pandemic stress.

Waffle turkey

Turkey for breakfast? Indeed! Bring some morning magic to your Thanksgiving table.  It might convert any vegan back to their carnivore ways.

Happy Thanksgiving!

{Ingredients: Waffle, apples, bananas, chocolate chips, pomegranate seeds, maple syrup}

Family is everything.  They're like a warm blanket that's consistently cozy and always comforting.

Happy + Thanksgiving

Pre-k Thanksgiving feast

Thanksgiving break has come to an end.  I just might go CRAZY if I have another week with the kids.  Even though I'm constantly bitching (and giving thanks at the same time!), I'm quite aware of what I've been blessed with.  I know I'm a darn lucky girl.

Giving thanks

It's tank top weather in the middle of November (say what!) and we're picnicking/hiking at our favorite spot, treepeople.org

treepeople.org

Look how happy, healthy, smart and strong these beauties are.  It's a no-brainer what I'm thankful for this Thanksgiving...HELLO!!!!

Thanksgiving weekend

Lots to be thankful for this year. But here are the top 4, one for each day of the Thanksgiving weekend. On the eve, I felt grateful for my Kitchen Aid Mixer that made delicious pumpkin bread. I love it not just for its ease and efficiency but its constant reminder that had I not put it on my wedding registry 7 years ago I may not have nights like this baking with my children, even with harmonica music playing in the background.

Pumpkinmania

It's pumpkin season which means harvest festivals, pumpkin pickings, and countdown to Halloween. I love this time of year when people are cheery and family get togethers are more frequent. We had a fun afternoon at the Farmers Market with the whole family and took a rare photo of the Alex, Chan, and Hui men (Jason was missed).
